Oxfordshire CCG has just 0.5% of its budget remaining for this financial year
A CCG has allocated all but £3.3m of its £658m budget - 0.5% - for this financial year with nine months still remaining, sparking fears that it may not be able to fund practices to provide extra services.
Oxfordshire CCG said that it has allocated the £654.7m on planned acute, community and health services as increases in the cost of emergency care had put it under pressure. Its chair insisted the CCG will not run out of money.
However, local GP leaders warned the lack of remaining budget would adversely affect GPs.

London MIG pilot links TPP SystmOne and Emis Web info
The first exchange of clinical information between TPP’s SystmOne and Emis Web is being piloted in London next month.
The pilot uses the Medical Interoperability Gateway - a secure gateway to exchange clinical data, which meets the NHS Interoperability Toolkit and HL7 interoperability standards.
The MIG was developed by Healthcare Gateway, a joint venture between GP system suppliers Emis and INPS. TPP announced that it would integrate with the MIG in January.

GPs working alongside 999 paramedics cuts hospital admissions by 75% by treating patients at home
GPOnline today reports that a new scheme in Worcestershire which sees GPs working in hours with 999 teams has cut hospital admissions by a whopping 75%, saving the trust thousands of pounds.
The scheme runs in partnership with three CGGs and aims to treat patients in their own homes, saving £2000 per admission.
This has seen an increase to 86% from 37% of patients receiving this type of care.
Choose and Book live across the entire NHS by 2015 – are we finally to get a paperless referral process?
The NHS Commissioning Board has today announced that there will be a completely paperless referrals system in place by 2015 – good news for Choose and Book fans and community services going through AQP.
In October, Tim Kelsey said that there would be no more “referral letters or lost records because we won’t have paper anymore in the health service”, a comment that was at first misquoted by some news websites.
Adding Patient Information Leaflets as a Bookmarked URL in TPP SystmOne
It is very straightforward to create your own links to websites in TPP SystmOne to enable you to quickly access information outside of SystmOne in just a couple of clicks.
1. Log in to SystmOne in the usual manner and click the Clinical Tools menu > Bookmarks > Configure.
2. Click the Bookmark URL button in the top-left corner.
3. Enter the details of the bookmark as in the image below. Ensure the URL is typed in exactly (in this example, including the .asp at the end) or the link will not work. Type (without quotes) "www.patient.co.uk/pils.asp".
