CQRS hits technical problems - manual QOF extractions (EHI)

Technical problems with a new service for calculating payments for GP practices mean practices have to manually enter data for some enhanced services until next April.

The Calculating Quality Reporting Service replaced the Quality Management and Analysis system in June this year.

It assesses GP practice achievement against the Quality & Outcomes Framework, directed enhanced services and other clinical services.

TPP release Apple iOS app for SystmOne's SystmOnline functionality

TPP yesterday announced that their APP for SystmOnline  is now available now in the iTunes store. It was approved by Apple and is now available for download.

This will be a welcome application for the many users of SystmOnline (a feature to allow patients to order repeat medication, book and cancel appointments and other functionality) as accessing the website through a handheld device can sometimes be tricky because of limited screen space.

Digital care plans by 2015

Everyone with a long-term condition or disability must have a digital personalised care plan accessible online or via a mobile phone app by 2015, under a package of measures launched today by NHS England.
Transforming Participation in Health and Care is online guidance to commissioners that promotes the use of technology to put patients and their carers at the centre of treatment decision making.

TPP makes SystmOne's Appointments System Drag-and-drop (finally)

In what will surely be one of the most welcome updates to SystmOne in recent times, TPP have finally made their appointments ledger drag and drop.

This has long been one of the most requested features, and in our experience, one of the most obvious to have, and now it's here.

Go on and try it! Log in and have some fun!

TPP SystmOne stable through BT N3 Mobile Health Worker VPN

BT N3 have launched a new remote access product for NHS mobile working and provides a secure and seamless connection into a trust's network from anywhere via the NHS National Network (N3).

It provides remote access capabilities across a wide range of devices and operating systems such as Windows 7 and 8, Android phones and tablets, as well as Apple devices such as iPads and iPhones.

If your mobile signal drops for any reason, and as long as you reconnect within 30 minutes, the VPN connection will be there waiting for you.

GPs expected to provide 24/7 'decision support' under proposed out-of-hours revamp

GPs will have to be available 24/7 to offer ‘decision support’ in order to prevent patients from being admitted to hospital under a plan to radically reform the urgent care system published by NHS England today.

The move is proposed as part of a package of suggested measures to improve the care of patients seven days a week, including holding GP telephone consultations out-of-hours’ and a guarantee that patients can have ‘same-day access’ to GPs who are ‘integrated with their GP practice’.
